Do you support HB 1026: protecting spouses by allowing the sharing of benefits under the long-term services and supports trust program?

HB 1026 allows a qualified individual to transfer available benefit units from Washington's long-term services and supports trust program to their spouse in two scenarios: (1) if the spouse does not currently qualify but meets functional criteria to become an eligible beneficiary, or (2) if the spouse already qualifies and has exhausted their own benefit units. The transferring individual's benefit unit balance is reduced by the amount transferred.
